Vulcanized Rubber Scrap Disposal: Collection and Recovery
TEAM & SERVIZIPrismi provides a collection and recovery service for vulcanized rubber scraps classified under EWC code 070213, directly from manufacturing facilities.
We operate with authorised vehicles for non-hazardous waste transport and work with certified carriers for longer distances.
From waste collection to secondary raw material production, we manage the entire process.
How Our Rubber Scrap Collection Service Works
The Prismi rubber scrap collection process involves four steps:
1. Assessment: Submit your material’s technical data sheet or waste characterisation via our request form. Our team verifies the rubber type, EWC code and material morphology.
2. Logistics agreement: We agree on collection method and frequency. For short distances we use our own vehicles; for longer routes we coordinate with authorised external carriers.
3. Collection and transport: Material is collected with the required waste consignment documentation and transported in full compliance with non-hazardous waste regulations.
4. Recycling and traceability: The scrap is processed at our Monteprandone plant and transformed into certified secondary raw material. We provide documentation of recovery performed.
Logistics and Transport of Rubber Scraps
Prismi manages the collection of vulcanized rubber waste directly with its own vehicles, authorised for non-hazardous waste transport, depending on the distance from our Monteprandone facility.
For longer routes, we work with certified external carriers and put you in direct contact with them to arrange transport logistics and the required documentation. For toll processing, we can provide dedicated containers to help you separate and pre-store materials at your premises.
Rubber Compound Types Accepted for Collection
We accept vulcanized rubber scraps of the following types: SBR (styrene-butadiene), EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene), NBR (acrylonitrile-butadiene), IIR (butyl rubber) and CR (neoprene).
Material must be sorted by compound type and must not be contaminated by other elastomers or hazardous substances. If unsure, request our free preliminary assessment.
FAQ | Vulcanized Rubber Scrap Disposal
Do you offer transport services for rubber offcuts classified as non-hazardous waste?
Yes. Transport is provided either with PRISMI company vehicles or with external carriers. In both cases, vehicles are authorized to transport non-hazardous waste with the required EER codes 070213 or 070299.
Can Prismi verify whether our rubber offcuts are recyclable?
Yes. We can assess recyclability, although a waste characterization from the client’s laboratory will be requested. If the material is classified as non-hazardous and the assigned EER code is compliant, we can study its morphology to determine market‑ready recovery options.
Which rubber compound types do you accept for collection?
We accept SBR, EPDM, NBR, IIR and CR, provided they are classified as non-hazardous and uncontaminated. Material must be sorted by compound type. If unsure, we offer a free preliminary assessment.
How does the rubber scrap collection process work?
After material assessment, we agree on collection method and frequency. We use our own vehicles for short distances and coordinate certified carriers for longer routes. Collection is performed with the required waste consignment documentation, in full compliance with non-hazardous waste regulations.
